THE UGANDA TRIP WAS NOT WITHOUT A PRICE - James was hospitalized and on a drip for a severe case of malaria. He is just getting strength back. Sammy Musili said he had to go to hospital with a bad case of malaria.
THE MEN WERE ALL AWARE OF THE RISK, BUT KNEW IT WAS WORTH IT.

Above - It was good the river was low that day. Raymond crossed it once when it was up to his neck. Also good that the Crocs are mostly gone. The flow is very swift.
"We are excited about the students going to Uganda is to make them think "foreign missions." If they can catch that vision, then the US will have to send fewer foreign missionaries.
The Africans will do their job far better and cheaper that we could." Howard

FCB's 22 evangelists/students divided into teams. This one is cutting across the countryside to their next village in Uganda.

Above - "Here is a group of students running to the meeting. Our prayer is that maybe the fellows in front will be the leaders of the future. This was on the Ugandan border. Titus K was very excited about the work and reception they got there. They even spoke at an AIDS home with many decisions for Christ." Howard
"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable,
always abounding in the work of the Lord,
forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58@--}----
The FCB Evangelism Team at Lamu's house in Uganda.
Titus Kimwele was at FCB and gave a good report about the evangelism. He said that Lamu’s mother, 2 sisters and a brother accepted the Lord while the team was there. That is a great victory for Lamu!
The man who sold the land for a church to Stan last December told the team that he wants to start attending the church to which he sold his land.

"One gets the idea of exuberance at the arrival of strangers. You have to know that these children listened very carefully to what their guests said. Many made professions of faith. This school was in the area of Malaba." Howard
"And now, Lord, behold their threatenings;
and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness
they may speak thy word." The Acts 4:29

A thank you letter from Pastor David Okware of Osajai:
"Glory be unto God!
Receive my greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; and I am fine in Him.
Receive my appreciation for your spiritual concern over Tesoland--following your sending Faith College students' evangelism expedition in the region.
Truly it has been a time of significant awakening whereby dozens of souls have confessed Christ and hundreds of ears have heard the gospel sound. It is our prayer that the Lord quicken most of those that heard, for church expansion. Sincerely the fields are needy for harvest but they require much of foreign labour. It is our desire that God will avail another chance for this team to visit us once more and do another campaign for Christ. May the Lord bless you!
Yours,
Pastor David Okware,
Principal Osajai Bible School"

Report for July 2004 Uganda Evangelism
Members of this team were: Richard Kirui, Zenawi Asfaw, Sammy Musili, Titus
Kimwele, Daniel Yaban, Daniel (Mumo) Mutunga, Joel Ng’eno, Joshua Simba, Molla
Dessie, James Musyoki, Benson Mwengi, Lamu Imaidoi, Moses Omoding, Samuel
Kogalloh, Japheth Mustuse, and John Mwendwa. They were joined at Osajai by
students and pastors: Joel Imaidoi, Job Amaiti, Johnson Omoit, George Osilo,
Felix Ang’are, David Ojuma, Matthew Omusolo, and David Okware.
We started our journey from the college at 5 pm July 22 and got to Nairobi bus
station at 6 pm where we boarded a night bus to Malaba. The journey took us 13
hours and we arrived at Malaba town at dawn. We waited until 6:30 am to take
breakfast at a hotel, after which we hired the bicycles (Boda Bodas) to Osajai,
5 kilometers away. When we got to Osajai Bible Institute we found the watchman
and a few ladies who were awaiting us. We rested there for the whole day since
everyone was very exhausted from the long journey [and had been taking final
exams up to the day of leaving]. We thanked the Lord so much for the journey
mercies, and in the evening Pastor Moses Omoding invited us to go and pray with
his family since the wife was sick. We had a very blessed fellowship, and Pastor
Yaban preached. That night many people came to fellowship with us at the school.
On the next day, Saturday, after the morning devotions and breakfast, we divided
ourselves amongst the churches of IPC in that area. Kimwele, Yaban and Okware
went to Kongrakol IPC where they also evangelized several families. They
observed that the area needed prayer and revival meetings. They worshipped there
on Sunday and came back to the school after the worship.
Mwengi, Musyoki and Mwendwa went to Amairo, a mountainous place. When they
arrived there, they were hosted at Pastor Job’s home for lunch and thereafter.
Mwengi and Mwendwa proceeded to Aterait, and Musyoki remained at Amairo IPC
where he preached on Sunday. After the worship, they traveled back to Osajai
Bible School where the whole team was to meet. They observed that the villages
there were very traditional and need much prayer and revival meetings as well.
Mutuse and Zenawi remained at Osajai IPC where they also visited and evangelized
some families and worshipped there on Sunday. They observed that the people
around there were so much tied to religion, and some of them said that as long
as they were church goers they had the guarantee of going to heaven; so the
place needs much prayer and revival.
Simba and Ng’eno and Johnson Omoit went to Kautoit IPC. They also visited
several families and worshipped there on Sunday.
Daniel Mutunga traveled to Kengatunyi with the pastor of that church. When he
got there he also visited several families and some surrendered themselves to
the Lord.
Kogalloh and Molla went to Malaba Town IPC with Pastor Mathew Omusolo. They
evangelized there and also there were some people who gave themselves to the
Lord. They observed that the church there needs a lot of prayer as well.
Kirui and Musili went to Koninina IPC with Pastor David Ojuma. They also
evangelized some families and some surrendered themselves to the Lord.
We thank the Lord so much for His guidance and the souls whom He saved. We of
FCB request for prayers for these people and for their growth in this way.
We all met at Osajai Bible School where we were hosted for the night. In the
evening we had a very big congregation who had come to watch the cinema. Pastor
Daniel Mutunga preached and several people surrendered themselves to the Lord.
On Monday morning, after the devotion and breakfast we set off to the
immigration offices where we presented our passports so that we could be allowed
to cross to Uganda. When we got there, Molla had a problem with his passport and
was arrested for carrying an expired pupil pass. After a few minutes he was
released and was sent back to school. We prayed to the Lord for his release.
This was also a good reminder of our faith in the Lord, that we check on it lest
it expires and we are sent away from entering our Lord’s kingdom. Also Zenawi
was not on a safe side for he also had an expired passport and was ordered to
travel back to school.
After we were allowed to cross, we boarded a taxi to take us to Tororo, a town
that is 13 kilometers from the boundary. When we got there we had our lunch and
thereafter we went for personal evangelism. Several people were led to the Lord.
Some of the students went to Taso, which is a care centre for HIV/AIDS victims.
They preached to them and 25 accepted the Lord as their personal Savior. We
thanked the Lord so much for we saw His mighty deeds upon His people in Uganda.
The rest of the team went to a big market of stalls, where many were also led to
the Lord.
In the evening after the evangelism at Tororo, we boarded a taxi which took us
to Kachomo IPC where Mwengi, Musyoki, Yaban, Mutunga, Musili, Ng’eno and Omoit
were to be hosted by Pastor Nyangweso, George Osilo and Felix Ang'are for the
rest of the days.
The rest of the team proceeded to Dania (including Mutuse, Kirui, Simba, Mwendwa,
Kimwele, Kogalloh, Omusolo and Amaiti) where they were to be hosted by Pastor
Lamu Imaidoi, Joel Imaidoi, and David Okware.
Report for Kachomo Area: When we arrived at Kachomo IPC we found several members
and the pastor waiting for us, and who welcomed us warmly. Kachomo is a village
that is situated on the east side on the outskirts of Tororo. In the evening we
had a blessed fellowship where we took time to pray for the success of that
mission and the Word of God, that it might have an impact upon the souls of His
people in that area. After the prayers we showed the cinema on the Life of
Christ, after which Pastor Mutunga preached to a very big crowd and we thanked
the Lord for the souls that were touched and gave themselves to the Lord as
their personal Savior. Let us all continue to pray for those souls for the
growth of their faith in Christ. The next day, Tuesday, we woke up early in the
morning and had our devotion. After the breakfast we divided ourselves amongst
the villages of Kachomo area. When the team met in the evening, each was giving
an encouraging report, because of the souls that confessed and repented of their
sins and accepted the Lord as their personal Savior. Pastor Nyangweso, Mwengi,
Musyoki, and Mutunga went to preach to a witchdoctor who obediently was
convicted of her sins and she accepted the Lord as her personal Savior.
On Wednesday we woke early for the morning devotions and after the breakfast we
divided ourselves into three groups of four each and went to meet the people
with the Word of God. We preached to several homes, schools, and shopping
centers. Numerous people accepted the Lord as their personal Savior. In the
evening also many people came to watch the cinema and afterwards James Musyoki
preached and there were many who gave themselves to the Lord. On Thursday, the
team that had gone to Kachomo woke up early for morning devotion and after have
the breakfast they traveled back to the immigration offices to clear for their
return to Osajai Bible School, where the whole team was to meet in the evening
for preparation for travel back to Nairobi.
Report for Adanya Area: After the team had divided at Kachomo, the rest (who
included Lamu, Mwendwa, Mustuse, Kirui, Kogalloh, Simba, Omusolo, Joel Imaidoi,
Kimwele, Job Amaiti, and the principal of Osajai Bible School—David Okware) went
to Adanya village which is 13 kilometers away from Kachomo village.
When we arrived at Adanya, we were welcomed at Pastor Lamu’s home. We had the
evening prayers and thereafter we had to preach to the people who had come to
receive us. It was amazing that even some of Lamu’s families and relatives were
brought to the knowledge of the Lord.
On the next day, Tuesday, we woke up early and had our morning devotion, and
after the breakfast we divided ourselves into three groups. The first group
which was being led by Joel Imaidoi was able to visit ten families and six
people got saved. The team observed that due to false teaching that religion
saves, it was difficult to approach people, since they claimed they will enter
into heaven for they are church goers. The second group which was being led by
Matthew Omusolo visited eight families and seven people obediently received and
accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. They also observed the
same problem as the first team. The third group which was being led by Job
Amaiti visited six families and six people were led to the Lord.
In the evening we went to Ang’ololo shopping center where all the businesses
were closed down for them to come and listen to the Gospel. Here we saw the Word
of God working upon His people, because many accepted the Lord as their personal
Savior and it is our prayer that they continue growing in faith.
On Wednesday, July 28, the Lord helped us and renewed our strength, and after
the morning devotion and breakfast we divided ourselves into four groups. The
first group, which was being led by David Ojuma, visited six families and four
people were led to the Lord. The second group, which was being led by Matthew
Omusolo, visited four families and prayed with them for the needs. The third
group—Job, Japheth and Titus—visited five families and twelve people received
the Lord as their personal Savior. The fourth group—Lamu and Simba—visited six
families and five were led to the knowledge of Christ.
While at this mission, the team observed that many people were still holding to
their traditions and it made them very hard-hearted in making decision to follow
Christ. Another thing that the team observed is the drug abuse. In Uganda the
government does not prohibit ‘bang’ and alcohol, and so it was very difficult to
convince people to leave from abusing the drugs. We also learned that there are
two big churches that taught ‘another doctrine’ and so this also made it very
hard for people to agree and receive Christ.
We give thanks to our Almighty God who enabled us and provided for the mission.
It is our prayer that we continue serving the Lord faithfully, for we sow the
seed and He is the one who gives the increase. We also give thanks to our
sponsors who also were together with us in prayers and provided for the funds.
We also thank the Lord so much for our principal and his wife for laboring
tirelessly for our passports and prayers for the mission.
