1973 Machakos

In this photo, thirty one years ago, Raymond Carlson is evangelizing at one of the 'preaching points' (see Go Outreach page) They set up a lean-to shelter and table, which served as a church. Many who live in villages out in the bush do not have the benefit of cars and few even own a bicycle; making it imperative to help establish churches in walking distance. Go! International continues to help train pastors, build churches, and support them in every way possible.

Meeting under a  tree is still common, but there is no protection from the hot equatorial sun, the torrential rains, or deadly lightning.
